Tuition for Washington residents attending Walla Walla Community College rose by 2.4% during the 2022-23 school year, based on the latest figures released, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.
Washington residents paid $4,965 to attend the public college this year, an increase of $115 from the $4,850 charged in the 2021-22 academic year.
Non-resident tuition for the 2022-23 school year was $6,306, which is 27% higher than the in-state rate. This amount reflects a slight decrease of 0.7% from the $6,350 charged the previous year.
Approximately 77% of the undergraduate student body at Walla Walla Community College are Washington residents, while about 23% come from other states.
Data indicates that 76% of full-time undergraduates who began their studies in 2022-23 received some form of financial aid. Among them, 274 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $1.8 million, and 58 students obtained student loans amounting to more than $311,153.
Across all undergraduates, 1,303 students benefited from grants or scholarships totaling $9.3 million. Additionally, 347 students borrowed $2.5 million in federal student loans.
