Here is your Alder/Poplar reconstruction project update for the week of Jan 2-Jan 6.
Poplar Street – between 2nd and Colville:
Crews have been working on pouring sidewalks and crosswalk ramps as weather has allowed.
The signal at 2nd and Poplar was installed, replacing the 4-way stop that was there previously. Full signal functionality will be updated later this spring as updated components arrive.
Crews have also installed new street lighting along both Poplar and 2nd Ave, segments of which are live now and remaining segments are expected to go live within a week or two, weather dependent.
Landscape and hardscape work continues as well.
Poplar Street – Colville to Merriam:
Crews have been forming and pouring new sidewalks and crosswalk ramps as well as installing landscaping and signage.
