Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington’s 3rd district since 2023, used her social media platform to call for the resignation of four members of Congress and highlighted the importance of trades education in America.
On April 13, 2026, Gluesenkamp Perez posted: “The credibility of Congress is rotting under the weight of unaddressed corruption and sleaze-all four of these Members should save their last shred of dignity and resign”. Later that day, she specified whom she was referring to by posting: “Looking at you @CoryMillsFL @RepTonyGonzales @CongresswomanSC https://t.co/xdsCSLNVFM”.
The following day, on April 14, 2026, Gluesenkamp Perez shifted focus to workforce development and American identity with another post: “Having self determination and being a people who make things – not just consumers – is what makes us Americans. I’m always inspired by the next generation of the trades workforce as they continue this tradition. Thank you to Hudson’s Bay High School construction class for https://t.co/Jzk0YiC2jy”.
Gluesenkamp Perez succeeded Jaime Herrera Beutler in Congress after the 2022 election cycle. She was born in Harris County, Texas in 1988 and currently resides in Washougal. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Reed College in 2012.
