Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 3rd district, has been actively engaging with her constituents through social media. Her recent tweets highlight her efforts in addressing local issues and securing federal support for various initiatives.

On February 9, 2025, Rep. Perez shared her involvement in responding to severe flooding in Rosburg and Grays River. She stated, “Rosburg and Grays River experience devastating flooding – and I’m glad I could help secure a federal flooding assessment after Congress long failed to act.” She expressed gratitude towards the Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office and Commissioner Strong for their assistance during her visit.

The following day, on February 10, 2025, she expressed relief over removing an “ugly painting” but emphasized her appreciation for bipartisan cooperation within the state. She remarked, “Glad I could finally shirk off this ugly painting – but even more grateful to have fantastic bipartisan partners in our state to get stuff done.”

Later that same day, Rep. Perez announced significant financial support secured for Public Utility Districts (PUDs) in Southwest Washington. She noted, “I’ve now helped bring home more than $32.6 million for our PUDs to invest in rural broadband and clean water and wastewater infrastructure across Southwest Washington.” This funding aims to enhance essential services such as broadband access and water infrastructure.
