Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, who represents Washington’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted her legislative and advocacy efforts on social media, focusing on education and agricultural policy.
On November 3, 2025, Rep. Gluesenkamp Perez shared her experience visiting career and technical education (CTE) programs across Southwest Washington. She wrote, “I’ve visited CTE programs in all seven counties in Southwest Washington. It was great to visit the Onalaska High School CTE program – it’s a prime example of why we need to fund Career and Technical Education. Two days later, on November 5, 2025, she addressed issues facing American farmers regarding equipment repair rights. In her post, she stated, “When corporate interests tell farmers that they can’t fix their own equipment, they should know they’ve crossed a line. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez began serving as the U.S. Representative for Washington’s 3rd district in 2023 after succeeding Jaime Herrera Beutler. Born in Harris County, Texas in 1988 and currently residing in Washougal, Perez graduated from Reed College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2012.
