Recap of Wednesday’s City Council regular meeting.
“Adopt amendments to the Walla Walla 2040 Comprehensive Plan Map” and “Adopts Amendments to Titles 15 and 20 of the Walla Walla Municipal Code” might not mean much to you, but Council’s unanimous votes to approve these items are monumental for the people who live in Walla Walla’s eight existing manufactured home communities.
These changes, in the works since last March, will provide security for residents by providing protective zoning for manufactured home communities and increasing the opportunities for the placement of these communities in Walla Walla.
The City is grateful to everyone who advocated for these essential changes to be made. Thank you for participating in the process and your tireless dedication to keeping the issue in the forefront of the minds of staff and the Council members.
