4 percent of Lower Columbia College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 4 percent of Lower Columbia College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Lower Columbia College has a total student body of 2,819 students, of which 69 percent are women and 31 percent are men. Of these students, 48 men and 66 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Lower Columbia College with the most participants are baseball (34), basketball (26) and soccer (24).
