City of South Bend issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.
The City of South Bend had a scheduled water outage.
The contractor doing the work was responsible for making the appropriate notifications to the citizens that were affected by said outage. It became apparent early this morning that not every person affected was notified. The city apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you and had the city known that the notices were not made as expected city staff would have been on the phone calling you with a heads up!
