Walla Walla County has launched a new website dedicated to providing information on COVID-19.

“Our goal was to create a robust COVID-19 website with resources for Walla Walla County residents by using a content management system to allow our department to adapt rapidly to changing communication needs during the COVID-19 pandemic response,” Kelly Black, the communication coordinator of the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health, told Whitman Wire.

The Walla Walla County COVID-19 website contains information on symptoms of the coronavirus, local testing sites, how to care for yourself or someone else who has the coronavirus, and localized and state data on COVID-19 cases. There is also guidance and resources for families, businesses and workers, schools and child care, and those struggling to cope with the pandemic.

“In the design stage we focused on user experience and dual language accessibility,” Black told Whitman Wire.“We wanted a website rich with video and infographics that also felt inviting and had an approachable voice.”
