Columbia County ranked 10th in Washington for resident earnings in 2018

Columbia County ranked 10th among counties in Washington by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Columbia County residents was $30,995 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 1,758 households with a population of 4,001.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was King County with $42,772 per year after adjusting for inflation – $11,777 more than Columbia County. It had 865,627 households with a population of 2,163,257.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Whitman County with $17,153 per year after adjusting for inflation – $13,842 less than Columbia County. It had 17,910 households with a population of 48,593.
