Columbia County ranked 11th in Washington for resident earnings in 2019

Columbia County ranked 11th among counties in Washington by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Columbia County residents was $31,349 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 1,795 households with a population of 3,992.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was King County with $45,489 per year after adjusting for inflation – $14,140 more than Columbia County. It had 882,028 households with a population of 2,195,502.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Whitman County with $17,679 per year after adjusting for inflation – $13,670 less than Columbia County. It had 17,999 households with a population of 49,231.
