Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office recently issued the following announcement on March 11.
We are thrilled to announce the swearing in of two new deputies!
Right, is Deputy Josh Parris #156. Originally from Texas, Josh moved to Walla Walla in 2017 to farm. After joining the WW Search and Rescue team in 2019 he became interested in a career with the Sheriff's Office. Outside of work he enjoys being in the mountains, working with his horses, and spending as much time as possible with his wife and son.
Left, is Deputy Tim Williams. Tim was born and raised in central Illinois. There he discovered his love for sports and the outdoors. When he wasn't bow hunting, he was coaching/running track and field throughout high school, college, and into his mid-twenties. Eventually, Tim moved west to Montana where the hunting and fishing adventures continued for several years while working in the surgery department at the local hospital in Helena. In 2018, Tim came to Pasco on a temporary work assignment. During that time Tim met his wife, moved to Tri cities, and were married in September of 2021. Around thanksgiving, Tim and his family of three learned it would be growing to five- expecting twins summer 2022! With the support of family and friends, Tim is making the transition to a career with the Walla Walla Sheriff's Office.
Both new deputies will be attending the Basic Law Enforcement Academy, in Burien, starting March 22nd. They will be back in August to start field training with us!
