Of the 2,620 people living in Dayton in 2020, 50 percent (1,309) were women and 50 percent (1,311) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SE Washington News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 32. In the 65 and over age range, there were 423 females and 330 males.
