All schools have been directed to keep their front doors locked during the school day, starting Tuesday, May 31. This is standard practice at most schools already. We know this is an inconvenience for visiting parents and families, but it provides an additional layer of safety and security.
In addition, our local police departments have assured us that they have stepped up patrols around our schools.
