The City of Longview is reimagining Washington Way and wants to hear from you
To ensure our streets are safe, convenient, and accessible for everyone, the City is reimagining Washington Way—the main arterial street for the westside neighborhoods of
Longview and one of the priority corridors in need of improvement identified in the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. With federal grant funding from the National Highway System
Asset Management Program, the Washington Way Complete Street Project aims to maximize the life expectancy of the roadway, improve active transportation options, increase
safety and comfort, and reduce traffic incidents. The design phase of the project is officially underway, and the City is seeking the community’s input on the proposed improvements
and preliminary design options to ensure this main route meets the needs of all users. The community is invited to share feedback in the following ways:

Join the Open House event in person on Thu. August 25 from 4-7 p.m. at Longview Civic Circle Park. You will have a chance to hear directly from City and project staff and share
your feedback on the preliminary design options.
