The cities of Longview & Kelso have received a special allocation of the federal HOME Investment Partnership Program through the 2021 American Rescue Plan in the amount of
$1,326,274. The cities cooperate as the Longview-Kelso HOME Consortium to receive federal housing grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD). The City of Kelso may allocate nearly $250,000 for an eligible project and another $130,000 to a Community Housing Development Organization for a project at the
September 20 council meeting. For more information on permitted severe weather shelters, please contact the Community Development department at 360-442-5087.
The public will have multiple opportunities to comment on the process to allocate the funds:
1. City of Kelso Allocation Public Hearing: September 20, 2022, Kelso City Hall, 203 S. Pacific.
2. Provide written comments prior to the public hearing or provide comments in-person. Meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. Applications can be reviewed online at the link below.
3. Comments will be accepted from September 26 - October 11 on the Final Draft HOME-ARP allocation Plan.
