6 coaches at institution in Cowlitz County earned $10,000 on average in 2022

Cowlitz County’s six coaches earned an average salary of $10,000 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 10th lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at Washington post-secondary schools during 2022.

Cowlitz County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
