Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 3rd district, shared several updates on social media regarding her recent activities and engagements with local communities.

On February 17, Rep. Perez posted about her weekend visit to a daycare center where she assisted with maintenance tasks. She stated, "Stopped by daycare this weekend to replace their toilet that's just not cutting it." She expressed her gratitude towards the educators at the facility, highlighting their dedication: "Always glad to help out the amazing teachers who work hard for our kids every day."

In another post dated February 18, Rep. Perez addressed her interaction with members of the Ukrainian community, acknowledging their resilience amidst ongoing geopolitical challenges. She wrote, "Thank you to members of the Ukrainian community who shared with me the challenges you and your families are facing amid Russia's ongoing unprovoked invasion." Rep. Perez praised their contributions to the community and reiterated national support: "You've made our community richer and shown incredible resilience, and it's important our nation continues to stand with…"

Later on February 18, Rep. Perez highlighted issues faced by rural communities impacted by federal land policies. She stressed the importance of government support in these areas through her tweet: "When rural communities impacted by federal land are limited from harvesting timber, our government needs to hold up its end of the bargain so our kids don't suffer." Emphasizing necessary governmental actions, she stated: "We've got to extend the lifeline rural counties rely on to keep schools and roads working:"
