The Street Division had another busy week making a variety of improvements for Walla Walla’s drivers, pedestrians, residents, and businesses.

The folks in Street Maintenance finished paving on Howard Street after the Water Distribution team replaced a failing water main there. Streets crews also upgraded sidewalks to

make them ADA compliant at the Howard and Baumeister intersection.

The Stormwater crew performed routine maintenance and sweeping downtown and on city arterials and well as weed and puncture vine control.

The Wastewater crew performed routine and project inspections on new construction, IRRP projects and Capital Improvement Projects. They also performed  maintenance on high

priority concrete and clay sewer lines.

The Traffic Maintenance team worked on painting crosswalks in schools zones this week – with summer winding down, the start of school is just around the corner and crosswalks

with better visibility are safer for our students.

To get in touch with the folks in the Streets, call 509-527-4363 or email pwinfo@wallawallawa.gov. And as always, check out our https://GoWallaWalla.us site for more info about

Pavement Maintenance and our current and upcoming construction projects.
