Washington State University Asotin County Extension office held a youth camp last week at the new Asotin County Fire District #1 training center.

40 area students participated in the three day event. Some of the classes included robotics, gardening, arts and crafts and animal presentations. On the final day firefighters and

emts took the participants on a fire station tour and they even sprayed water from fire trucks.

Chief Noel Hardin said he is very pleased the education center is being used to help many organizations in their training needs.

The facility has been used by many government agencies over the past couple of years including Asotin County Superior Court, police officer training and a vaccination center for Tri

State Hospital.

Fire District Officials say this was the vision they had for the training center and are very happy it is being utilized.
