You may have noticed some construction happening in front of Fire Station 1. Public Works has replaced our aging and broken apron approach in front of the station which is also

part of the city sidewalk. The sidewalk is now open for foot traffic only. We will give the concrete two weeks to cure before we drive our heavy apparatus on it.

Once the apron concrete is cured, Public Works will shift work to our parking lot entrance and perform the same work. Once work starts, this entrance will be closed to vehicle

traffic for two weeks while the concrete cures. If you have business at the fire station during this timeframe, please use the driveway in front of the apparatus bays to access the

parking lot.

We would like to thank our Public Works department for fixing our concrete and helping us keep our residents safe as the sidewalk in front of the station is highly trafficked.
