Whitman County issued the following announcement on March 27.
Due to COVID-19 and in accordance with the Governor’s Proclamation #20-05 signed February 29, 2020 and revised March 24, 2020 concerning the Public Records Act (PRA), the following temporary modifications are implemented for records requests. In-person inspection or copying of records or in-person submission of public records requests shall not take place. The requestors may make requests by phone, or email, or US mail.
The County may take longer than five business days to respond to requests. Modifications and Suspended requirements remain in effect until midnight April 23, 2020 unless extended by the Governor.
