Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Walla Walla Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Walla Walla Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Washington residents paid $4,455 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 33.7 percent more than residents this year, or $5,955. Their price tag was unchanged from $5,955 in 2017-18.

About 80 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Washington residents. And about 20 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 83 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 303 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.7 million and 111 students took out student loans totaling more than $491,173.

Including all undergraduates (3,860), 1,724 students used grants or scholarships totaling $10.1 million, and 767 students took out $4.6 million in federal student loans.
