2021 has 6.3% of Walla Walla County residents unemployed

Walla Walla County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.3% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,802 people out of the 62,168 living in Walla Walla County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Walla Walla County has increased compared to the 5.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Walla Walla County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 5%.

Of the 26,920 people who had a job during that time, 59 were employed in the Armed Forces and 26,861 belonged to the civilian labor force.
