The Walla Walla County Board of Commissioner appointed Dr. Daniel Kaminsky as its new public health officer, KNDO News reported in December.
The Board of Commissioners began searching for a new public health officer to replace Dr. Larry Jecha, who said he would like to retire at the end of 2020.
“The board would like to thank Dr. Larry Jecha for acting as our health officer for many years,” Walla Walla County Commissioner Chair Greg Tompkins said on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, KNDO News reported. “While sad to see Dr. Jecha go, we are pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Kaminsky as the new health officer and look forward to working with him for years to come.”
Kaminsky has more than 20 years of working as an OB/GYN physician with the Walla Walla Clinic.
He holds a bachelor of science in biomedical science from Texas A&M University and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas.
