In the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, we see information regarding an extended cold weather pattern, normal for this time of year, with overnight temperatures in the low 30s to mid-20s for Cowlitz County Tuesday night through Saturday night. The closer to the weekend, the greater chance of temperatures remaining at or below freezing during the day. Wind chills are expected to be in the upper teens to mid-20s. Those chills are due to the chance of breezy east winds through the Columbia River Gorge, increasing the chance of wind locally.
Additionally, for those with breathing difficulties, there seems to be an air stagnation concern for Tuesday 12/13 for the inland valleys.
