Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington's 3rd district communicated with constituents and the public via her recent social media updates, discussing local construction efforts, agricultural developments, and environmental infrastructure. Her interactions highlighted ongoing local projects and her legislative initiatives aimed at benefiting her district.

On April 18, 2025, Rep. Perez expressed her satisfaction with discussions she had with local construction trade members. "I'm glad local construction trades members could stop by and share what's top of mind for them and their families," she tweeted, referring to conversations about supporting apprenticeships, job creation, and key infrastructure projects such as the I-5 Bridge replacement.

Later that day, Rep. Perez shared the commencement of a significant project benefiting farmers in Lewis County. "Big news! The Southwest Washington Grain Project broke ground to help Lewis County farmers store and load grain," she announced, mentioning her success in securing $4.1 million for this initiative.

Further discussions included an update meeting with the Discovery Clean Water Alliance, as mentioned in her tweet on April 18. "Last week, I met with Discovery Clean Water Alliance about their work to keep rates down and service running smoothly in Clark County," she stated. The dialogue covered topics such as biosolids and a legislative bill she supports to protect ratepayers from PFAS cleanup costs.

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has served in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 3rd District since 2023. She succeeded Jaime Herrera Beutler. Perez, born in Harris County, Texas, graduated from Reed College in 2012 with a BA and currently resides in Washougal.
